What you're seeing

Every MLB game scheduled on the selected date, both starting pitchers, and each pitcher's season Statcast profile in one row of pills. Designed for Batter H+R+R and Runs prop research.

The five Statcast stats

• xERA — expected ERA based on quality of contact allowed.
• xwOBA — expected weighted on-base average against, weighted by exit velocity and launch angle.
• Hard-Hit % — share of batted balls hit at 95 mph or harder.
• Barrel % — share of batted balls in the "barrel" zone (high exit velo + ideal launch angle).
• Whiff % — share of swings that miss.

Color logic

Pills turn green when the pitcher is favorable to hitters:

• xERA ≥ 5.00
• xwOBA ≥ 0.350
• Hard-Hit % ≥ 45.0%
• Barrel % ≥ 10.0%
• Whiff % < 20.0%

Thresholds shared with /cold-pitchers and editable at /admin/systems/cold-pitchers. A pitcher with all five pills green is a "cold pitcher" — strong matchup for hitters.

Clicking a pitcher

Opens the matchup breakdown showing each opposing batter's HRR Over% and Runs Under% over the last 5 / last 10 / season. Both columns are colored so green means the bet you're targeting cashed; the Runs column is inverted (high green = batter has been falling under their runs prop).

Clicking the pitcher's name opens the player detail page instead.

Lineup source

Confirmed lineup when posted. If not posted yet, falls back to that team's most recent completed game's lineup.

No data treatment

Pills show — when a pitcher has no Statcast snapshot or fewer than 100 plate appearances. The card is still clickable and the matchup modal still works (it depends on the opposing lineup, not pitcher stats).
