How First Inning — Games Works

What this shows

Every game on the selected date with each side's first-inning profile: Sc = % of games the team scores ≥1 run in the 1st, Al = % it allows ≥1, Q = % where its 1st inning is scoreless both ways. The starter line shows the same rates restricted to that pitcher's starts (GS = sample size).

Quiet lean badge

A card gets the green Quiet lean outline when both teams' season Quiet% is at or above the league average (49.8%) — the matchups most likely to start 0–0 through one. A signal to look closer, not a guarantee.

Live results

Once a game's 1st inning is in the books, the card shows the actual result (e.g. 1st: ATL 0 – NYM 1) — green when it stayed 0–0. Data refreshes as the NRFI linescore feed updates; reload the page for the latest.

Click a card for the full breakdown: season vs last-10 splits side by side for both teams, both starters' per-start rates, and each team's last 10 first innings. Use the date controls to browse other days — past dates show final 1st-inning results. Times are Central.
