How Bet Labs Players Works

Player is: Batter or Pitcher

Pick a side up front. The Prop dropdown then only shows markets for that player type, and the qualifier floor switches between Plate Appearances (batter) and Games Started (pitcher).

Multiple opponents

Add as many opponents as you like via the dropdown — each one becomes a chip. The hit rate is computed across all games against any chip in the list. Saving this filter as a system means alerts will surface anytime your player plays any one of those opponents.

Hit Rate

Hit Rate is the percentage of games where the stat cleared (or fell short of) the line, per your direction. Pushes count as a miss for both Over and Under. Pitcher props only count starts.

Qualifier floor: PA or GS

Small samples are noisy. For batters, set Min PA to require N total plate appearances across the filtered games before a row appears. For pitchers, Min GS requires N qualifying starts. The PA column (batter view) shows the total PA in the qualifying sample so you can sanity-check volume at a glance.

Avg PA for starters

Next to the Min PA box (batter view) we show the average total plate appearances an everyday starter racks up in the current season for your active opponent/venue/hand filters — ignoring the Min PA floor. It is always the current season even if you're viewing a past one, since older seasons are too sparse to be a useful baseline. A "starter" is a batter who began at least half their games in the lineup. Use it as a yardstick: if starters average ~250 PA, a Min PA of 50 is loose and 250 is roughly full-volume.

Pitcher Hand

"vs LHP" or "vs RHP" classifies each historical game by the opposing starting pitcher's throwing hand. Bullpen handedness is not considered.
