What you're seeing

Each card represents a scheduled MLB game on the selected date with its announced starting pitchers. Season-to-date W-L, ERA, WHIP, and K/9 are shown under each starter.

Clicking a pitcher card

Clicking anywhere on the pitcher card (except the name itself) opens a matchup modal showing the opposing team's projected lineup and how each batter has performed against this specific pitcher.

Clicking the pitcher's name opens the full player detail page instead.

Head-to-head columns

In Career and Season views, each row shows PA, AB, H, HR, BB, K, K%, AVG, OBP, SLG, OPS — all measured against this pitcher only. Career aggregates every plate appearance on record; Season is the most recent season with data.

K% is color-coded: values above 25% are red, below 15% are green.

L10 / L5 views

Last-10 and Last-5 use the batter's overall recent performance (all pitchers), not head-to-head history — there are almost never enough recent at-bats against one specific pitcher for those splits to be meaningful. Head-to-head columns show — in these views; only K% is populated.

Lineup source

Lineups come from the confirmed lineup feed when available. If a lineup hasn't been posted yet, the modal falls back to the team's most recent completed game's lineup as a best-guess.
